PLACEMENT INFORMATION:
A hospital porter supports patients by helping them to move around the hospital - for example, from a ward to an x-ray department.
PLACEMENT DETAILS:
Whilst on placement, individuals will assist and observe the various porters around the site, helping to run errands, move patients, deliver mail and general site logistics work. Other tasks may include giving general assistance to visitors and staff as required, keeping areas clean and tidy and supporting general and related admin duties whilst gaining an overview of the whole site and the running of the hospital in a busy and varied working environment.
