PLACEMENT INFORMATION:
The radiology department at Pilgrim Hospital provides general x-ray, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), fluoroscopy, ultrasound and interventional services. Students must have a genuine interest in the profession.

LOCATION: Can be accessed via the Outpatient's department, past the coffee shop and opposite the Breast Unit

PLACEMENT DETAILS:
Whilst on placement, the individual will shadow staff on a rotation basis in the following areas:
CT, Ultrasound, X-Ray, MRI machine observation. Activities will include meeting and greeting patients, interaction with patients and staff, and associated IT input work.

There may also be the opportunity to observe pacemaker insertion in certain circumstances dependent on individual (subject to strict conditions).
